# Repository Stats

Lines-of-code snapshots over time, counted with [cloc](https://github.com/AlDanial/cloc) over git-tracked files
(`node_modules`, `dist`, and other ignored paths are excluded automatically). Every count is split into
**hand-written** vs **generated** — deterministic tool output such as CodeGen entity classes/forms/resolvers,
`mj codegen manifest` registrations, mj-sync metadata migrations, baseline consolidations, pg-migrate
conversions, connector metadata, and lockfiles. The exact patterns live in [repo-stats.mjs](repo-stats.mjs).

To record a new snapshot (or use the `/update-stats` Claude command, which adds narrative analysis):

## Latest analysis (2026-08-01)

This is a six-week snapshot (297 merged PRs since 2026-06-20) and the biggest hand-written jump the history has seen: source LOC (TS+JS+HTML+CSS+MD) grew +314,652, with TypeScript alone up +210,189 hand-written lines. The single largest concentration is the new connector suite — `packages/Integration/connectors` gained full implementations for NetForum, Rhythm, and MemberSuite (PRs #2911, #2906, #2912), each 800–1,200 lines, on top of continued work on the install orchestrator (+1,656 lines) and `AutotagBaseEngine`. Predictive Studio phase 2 (#2981, #3089) and Theme Studio (#3176) each landed large new Angular components (`ps-pipelines.component.ts`, `theme-studio-dashboard.component.ts`), and the new deterministic integration-test tier called out in this repo's CLAUDE.md shows up directly in the numbers: `runview-matrix.checks.ts`, `permission-engine.checks.ts`, and `server-cache.checks.ts` alone add close to 3,000 lines. Realtime/voice work also kept a steady drumbeat — xAI and OpenAI realtime drivers, the RealtimeBridge server, and session-overlay/transcript-continuation fixes.

The headline oddity this cycle is JSON, which *dropped* 1.74M lines net (generated JSON fell 1.75M) — almost the exact inverse of the +1.23M generated-JSON jump reported last snapshot. That earlier growth was the `generate-integration-actions` tooling emitting full connector action metadata (Salesforce +829K, Dynamics 365 +346K, plus iMIS, Sage Intacct, QuickBooks, HubSpot, Mailchimp, and a dozen more). This snapshot, that same metadata was deleted wholesale: `integrations/openapp-extraction` (#2928) and `integrations/remove-connector-metadata` (#2942) moved connector actions out of `metadata/integrations/**` as part of extracting OpenApp/connectors into their own deployable surface, so the generated action JSON is no longer committed to this repo's tree the way it was in June. Net effect: total tracked lines actually fell from 13.5M to 12.7M this cycle even though hand-written source grew sharply — the tool-output share of the repo shrank from 68% to 63%.

SQL grew +557,659 (+457,228 generated), and unlike the JSON story this is exactly what it looks like: a new baseline consolidation, `B202607091514__v5.46.x__Baseline.sql` / `.pg.sql` (+182K / +212K lines, matched by the `B*__*.sql` generated pattern), plus a wave of feature migrations — Predictive Studio, Record Set Processing, Agent Skills & Plan Mode, AI Skill Activation Mode, Agent Conversation Compaction, User Routines, and Realtime Session Capture — each landing in both SQL Server and Postgres dialects per the split-and-regenerate pipeline. Markdown's +79,268 is a mix of real narrative growth (new `AGENTS.md`, `guides/PREDICTIVE_STUDIO_GUIDE.md`, `guides/INTEGRATION_TESTING_QUICKSTART.md`, several `plans/*` design docs) and a `CLAUDE.md` restructuring that moved most of its content out to `AGENTS.md` and path-scoped rules.

One likely classification gap worth flagging: this window added several `CHANGELOG.md` files (`packages/MJServer/CHANGELOG.md` +1,600, `packages/ServerBootstrap/CHANGELOG.md` +1,497, and four more in the 700–1,000 line range) that are changesets-tool output, not hand-authored prose — they currently count as hand-written Markdown since `GENERATED_PATTERNS` has no rule for `**/CHANGELOG.md`. It's a few thousand lines today, small relative to the 738K hand-written Markdown total, but worth adding a pattern for if changesets keeps emitting these on every release.
