The highest-Priority keyed vendor's identity.
That vendor's resolution.
The model's vendors, highest Priority first (keys not checked).
Whether the session will show an avatar.
How a vendor is instantiated and judged.
The chosen resolution: first unless another keyed vendor matches the session better.
The vendor a realtime session runs on, by whether it will show an avatar. The highest-Priority keyed vendor (
first) stands when it renders avatars exactly when the session will show one; otherwise the first other keyed vendor that does (and thatAcceptsallows) is taken, when there is one. So a vendor that renders avatars (Vertex AI for Gemini 3.8 Live, with its own billing and limits) takes a session only when it will show an avatar, or when it is the only keyed vendor; and a session that will show one goes to such a vendor whatever the Priority order.
