    Properties

    Channels?: number

    Channel count (default DEFAULT_CHANNELS = mono).

    InboundSampleRate?: number

    Inbound PCM rate the agent's model CONSUMES (Hz). Default DEFAULT_SAMPLE_RATE; Gemini Live = 16000.

    Loader?: RtcNodeLoader

    Loader override (tests inject a fake @livekit/rtc-node).

    OutboundSampleRate?: number

    Outbound PCM rate the agent's model EMITS (Hz). Default DEFAULT_SAMPLE_RATE (24 kHz).

    PreBufferMs?: number

    Outbound pre-buffer duration in milliseconds when worker mode is enabled (default: 150ms).

    UseWorker?: boolean

    Whether to isolate media-plane processing in a dedicated worker thread (experimental). Default: OFF; enabled by process.env.MJ_LIVEKIT_WORKER_MEDIA = on / true / 1. A custom Loader always implies in-process unless this is set explicitly (a loader function cannot cross the thread boundary). An explicit value here overrides the env. If the worker cannot be spawned or dies before the room is joined, the client falls back to the in-process room client.

    VideoEncodeWorker?: boolean

    Whether participant video is encoded on its own worker thread (VideoEncodeWorkerHost, one per thread that hosts rooms) rather than on the thread that hosts the room. Default: ON; process.env.MJ_LIVEKIT_VIDEO_ENCODE_WORKER = off / false / 0 turns it off. An explicit value here overrides the env. Applies to every client this module builds: the in-process client, the worker client's in-process fallback, and the media worker's client.

    WorkerFactory?: () => IMediaWorker

    Optional factory for custom IMediaWorker instances (useful for testing).
